Thus far have bought a light rain jacket and waterproof leggings. 

One more step towards making this trip real. I'm scared. But once you get something into your head, and it's hard to shake out, then it's probably there for a reason.   I'm on the look-out for a few more essentials: sleeping bag liner, earplugs and eye mask, headlamp for walking before sunrise, and blister patches. The good thing about such a trip is the less I take the better. This helps with packing. 

Thursday I go to buy shoes to walk in. The most important part. I'm told to buy one size bigger than normal because that's how much my feet will swell. 

I've been running, not daily, but almost.
